Shadowclaw had been sitting in the tree before the sun rose and know was the time of its fall. Shadowclaw watched the sunset cautiously as if it could make its move on him at any moment. The sky seemed to catch fire as the last of the sun dissapeared behind the horizon. Shadowclaw leaped from the tree taking off across the field at the edge of the forests. Stopping once he reached the hill that had hid the sun. One last look, he felt that it was needed for he never knew when it might be his last. Know it was time to travel. Not going anywhere certain but wanting to explore all of the planet before his time was up Shadowclaw began to make his way across the field. Slowly he made his way across it enjoying every step. Shadowclaw stopped he could hear water. Sitting in a tree for a day makes you thirsty. Shadowclaw made his way toward the water source, once arrived Shadowclaw stared carefully at the stream from a distance. He began to slowly make his way toward the stream to quench his thirst. Shadowclaw looked into the stream in front of him. He had never seen a stream so clear. There was no dirt in this stream its base was but rock as well as its edges until about three feet from the stream. He thought it to be strange, but didn't put to much thought into it. He leaned his head toward the water and drank from it keeping his ears high to listen for any threats. He looked up and glanced upstream. Shadowclaw wondered why the water was so clear. He decided it would be a good idea to go investigate. He looked behind and saw a cat. It had following him for a couple days know but keeping rather good distance. The cat rather similar to him except a female and with teal marks abroad her chest rather than her face. He felt no threat from her, but as instinct had demanded kept an eye on her. He turned his attention back toward the stream now to figure out why it was so clear. Shadow glanced upstream in the far distance he spotted mountains. They stood tall wearing their hats of ice. That must be why the waters so clear. Better make sure. Shaodwclaw began to make his way upstream keeping his keen eyes and sharp ears aware of all that happened around him. He stopped for a moment and turned around. There she was still following him and still mainting a set distance.. Shadowclaw turned and continued to make his way upstream. He saw some fish in the water as he paced along its edges. They reminded him of his hunger. He hadn't ate for almost a full rotation. He stopped and quietly leaned over the stream with his paw gliding over the water like a bird catching an updraft. He followed slowly and suddenly darted his claw in the water. He could feel it he had latched one, he then threw his other paw in the secure his catch while pushing himself away from the stream with his back legs. He had managed to pull out a fish nearly his size. An inspiring catch indeed. Shadowclaw carefully cut the catch in half using his claws. Not the greatest cut, but a cut nonetheless. He set the front half in the water and watched as it slowly flowed downstream. The cat that had followed him picked it out of the water with careful grab. He then turned his attention toward his own half. Giving up the better half of the fish to a cat that he didn't now and had been following him Shadowclaw nodded as he realized his action. Never mind that he had to hurry up and eat then continue to make his way upstream.
